Red head I saw at a consignment shop.

They wanted $44.99 for it. Looks like something that was found along the curb.
This shop is usually high priced, but sometimes they mess up, it's why I stop in sometimes.
The grates are shot, the side table is missing, and the frame has some rust on it.
Last but not least, BOTH sides of the frame are bent inward!
Also, the LP connection is partially missing. Has some sort of quick connect on it.

I wouldn't pay much for that grill. Certainly not $45. If you like the red lid, then that is something, but other than that, it is simple a parts grill.

Run.

FWIW, here's a Chicago antique store comp: About a month ago, I picked up a Redhead JR. in solid B condition, for 75 bucks. All original parts, complete, and purrs like a kitten. (I'm still going to do a full blown reno though LOL!)

Looks to me a little like a hodgepodge of a Genesis 1 and a newer, cheap fold-up tray. I agree on the parts assessment, but if redheads are hard to find in your area you might still consider it.

Spirit 700. Missing side shelf, missing frame center support.
Dime a dozen. Would make a decent parts grill. $30 tops.

Meh, the lid and the handle are worth the $45, at least around here as Reds never pop up and those handles are expensive to reproduce in wood.

I also have what looks like a 3 burner Weber 700 sitting at home. But it has a wooden handle and that foldup table is missing. But interestingly the sliding grease pan is made from aluminum and not porcelain coated steel. I have never seen these before. And to my surprise the lid is about an inch lower than these of a x000 or Silver B.

Here is a link to the owners manual for that series -

I have a couple of these. One was $10, the other was free. I have been using
them as parts mules. I am not a fan of the cheapish looking plastic shelves.
They look like someone stole off of their Coleman cooler and slapped them
on their grill.

That explains this grill’s strange look. I guess Weber wanted a stripped down, low cost price-leader model something like Studebaker’s “Scottsman.” Looks like they took some old Genesis 1 parts, a newer, cheaper control panel and those awful tables and some other lesser parts to make it.

Its burners and flavorizer bars are compatible with the Genesis Gold/Silver models as it has the 5 flavorizer bar setup. Its BTU rating is also slightly lower (33,000 versus 35,000 for a Genesis 1000-5000 series and 36,000 for Genesis Silver/Gold).

I picked one up by the side of the road back in '17, added a Genesis Gold manifold with the 270-degree sweep valves, and sold it with a Skyline lid. I kept the red lid for myself and I still have it on my keeper grill.
