First some fingerling potatoes on the grill

Then cut them in half and fried them in canola oil to get a nice crust on the cut side.

Rack of lamb marinated in some olive oil, S&P, fresh rosemary and garlic. When I took it out of the marinade I added some Lawry's Seasoning Salt. Seared it a CI skillet and finish it indirect. I forgot to take a pic of the sear.

Plated with the potatoes, and some creamed spinach made in the kitchen. Thanks for looking!!

John that's gorgeous! Love rack of lamb, but it's usually expensive. If you found it on sale in our area, please share! And those potatoes -- wow!!

I've done some here, but yeah, horribly expensive here and the wife is not fond of it...so I have to eat it all myself. Guess I just give it up...yours looks delicious John...we should do a joint cook sometime...a good friend of mine just got himself a 22.5 last week and he's only up in Poway so we're all close...

I picked up this rack for $13.00 at Costco. Not too bad, still a lot cheaper than if we went out to eat. I think there are quite a few of us living in the San Diego area to have a little get together, I'm game!!

Interesting note on this mention of a get together...with a sad ending. After I made this post, I went over to the SMF forum, which I do rarely. Before my little adventure to Australia, a fellow there Gary (scarbelly) from Fallbrook organised a weekend get together up at lake skinner in early October, with 2 large lots enough for folks to all put their smokers...I did not make it as it was my 1st weekend back from Oz. Gary has passed away within the past few weeks.

Anyway, I'm very open to a get together...should be a blast maybe just a one-day event down in mission bay which should have plenty of room this time of year....some years ago I used to put on a Vintage Volvo swap meet yearly in November at Crown Point and it was a very pleasant way to spend a day.

W0W John! That lamb is one of the BEST in a looong wile. PERFECT in my eyes. And those taters rocks. A fantastic plate...

Gene B sorry for the loss

I have been wanting to do a rack of lamb for a long time. This picture will help motivate me.

I'd hit that lamb. It's been a while since I have had some. My wife likes it . . . maybe as the holidays approach. Yours looks beautiful!
