Thank you, but that’s alright, I just saw some examples online on lighter woods. I’m going to go to the hardware store and see what I could find that will give a dark reddish brown - maybe a mahogany. Thinking of using a clear water seal as well

General finishes exterior 450 water based top coat is an excellent product.

I got the new burners already from Amazon. The crossbar does not have the notched tab for the center burner to stay in place. It just slides through - not sure if this is typical or ok to use

I've bought the direct store brand for Genesis Gold grills recently and was very happy with them.

Did you purchase the “Direct Store Parts” burners, and the Crossover Tube Tab does not have the divider notch?

That's the same as the Votenli set that came with the flavorizer bars. There's a little nub on the burner tube that is supposed to keep the tube from sliding all the way in. It sort of works if you don't move the grill around after you get everything together.

So Direct Store Parts is misleading in their product photo? Did they used to provide the divided crossover tube, or has it always been this same “Votenli style crossover”?

Yes, the photo was misleading with the parts direct burners. The photo of the Amazon ad I posted were the burners I ordered. It was tricky getting it to align correctly. If I pushed the front and back burners completely under their respective washers in the fire box the middle burner would all the way through the slot on the crossover tube rotating the crossover tuber out of alignment. The small hub I the urn we tube didn’t seem to provide any resistance
