Purchased my first used 18" WSM

Hi! New to the forum, first post as you can see. My partner and I purchased a used 18" WSM via FB Marketplace earlier this week. We we're dismayed to have found the grates are rusted, and initially we also thought the bottom trough was rusted as well, but after reading a bit on here it seems perhaps it's just smoke gunk. Anyway, I've attached a few pictures below, I'm curious what y'all think is the best course of action as far as fixin' her up is concerned. It seems perhaps we should just get some new grates, wipe the bottom trough up with some paper towels and call it a day? I hope that's the case anyhow. Thank you!!

Looks like they let the bottom section fill with water and left it.
That should wash out with a scrubby and dish soap and a good rinse.
Charcoal grate is rusty but doesent matter. Put the whole thing back together and give it a good burn out.
