"Pretend it's Summertime" Burgers

Luke P

TVWBB All-Star
Had a hankering for some burgers, and I blame it on the desire for warm weather, shorts, and being outside all day. The timing was perfect...it started snowing/sleeting as I fired up the coals

Little garlic salt and finely ground pepper to mix in. Also added a bit of A1 for the first time. Not that the meat NEEDED it, but it definitely didn't hurt.

My little man helping me in the kitchen. He's getting good at shaking out the seasonings and rubs for me. Even let him roll a burger, and it's fun/challenging teaching him food safety, handwashing, ect...

Set 'em up direct for a nice sear. Placed the munchkin burger indirect. Figure being that small it'd burn to a crisp in just a minute or 2.

Two with American Cheese, and one with Swiss, a dab of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ and some grilled red onion.

Plated with summer favorites...simplest Romaine salad and chips.

That's a good looking burger! If a burger is seasoned well and cooked to perfection, like yours,it doesn't need a ton of stuff on it!

Can't blame you folks back in the snow country for trying to get the warm weather fired up. Great looking burgers and it's great to see the little guy getting involved.

Awesome on your part to get the little one involved. Unfortunately my paps didn't do that with me much. Sure wish he had. Thanks
