I am actually surprised they did it. Over here, many hospitals have cancelled everything but emergency procedures

Elective procedures have been back on the schedule for a few months now. With the tightened lock down, and the staffing problems, elective procedures are being scaled back again.

Here's hoping Pammi is up and around quickly.
