Post your live HeaterMeter Cooks

Well here is my first time using my HeterMeter. Just put a couple of butts on right now. Don't have a probe in the meat yet, figured I would wait a few hours. Having a small issue with overshoot right now, hoping it will come back down.

Don't actually have a cook going but will be adding in some Fatali and Primo peppers out of the freezer for a smoked hot sauce. Mostly trying out my attachment solution. Seems to be in control this time. The only thing I'm noticing is the I in my PID values seems a bit high. Let's see if it calms down as it settles into the cook. Another thing I'm noticing is as it opens up the fan/servo for more air the temp drops so it opens the fan more until the fire catches up. Is there a way to compensate for this?

That's really outstanding. What temp probes are you using? Contrast that to my recent cook. Is the the rotodamper or your own design?

I use the standard Maverick ET-72/73 probes. This is not the "rotodamper" but is a design that I made based off of the rotary valve and a concept that Bryan kicked around a couple of weeks ago.
