Pork steaks and potatoe slices?

Kept it simple tonight. Pork steaks and something I saw Jim Lampe make a few weeks ago. I hope I got it right.

Here's what I did.. Butter up a weber drip pan and layered potatoe slices with onions and cheese. I used mozzarella and cheddar.

I put it in the weber for 1 hour. The first 15 minutes I left it uncovered. Then foiled.

Pork steaks were thin. Seasoned with webers smokey mesquite.

Plated pic. Any tips are welcomed. I want to learn how to make this potatoes and cheese right. :)

Looks great. Showed your pics to my wife and she wants me to prepare the potatoes for her. I plan to use cheddar and Boursin cheeses as we love that combination.

Nothing wrong there, the supermarket I go to has the thin PS also, I have to get to my favorite butcher and get some thick ones.

I didn't have any bacon :(
But some bacon bits on top would probably make it taste better.
 
Tony that looks awesome. How did those taters turn out? They look really good.

Better than expected. The onions were melt in your mouth and the potatoe slices also. The chesse holds everything together. I would add bacon bits on top next time.
