Hey all new here and to my 22 original weber man i have been missing out iam in love with this charoal bqq well i was wondering if any one uses the kettle pizza thoughts and use of it thanks from southern ontario canada

I went pretty basic with my pizza set up, I line my grate with terra cotta tile and sprinkle cornmeal on them for ease of removal. Considering topping the tile with a pizza stone as well. The grand children have fun with the pizza cookery on the grill. It is lots of fun!

I just started using mine and like it. Trying to find the best wood to use. Getting smoked out recently. Only way I can get the temp up high enough to brown the top

Hey Tim,

I can't find terra cotta tile anywhere, tried Home Depot and Lowes, people look like I just fell out of the sky. Could you also post a picture of how you set it up?

Thanks.

Sam, they are the 4x4 (maybe 5x5) basic just under half inch floor tiles, no high polish, like in commercial kitchens.
Don't overthink it, I will see if I still have the box and offer the stock #.
Most of the staff at the box stores do not know their ear from their elbow so, don't see the bar too high.
PM me and I will share photos, I don't use the various media the site requires to upload images.

Wonder why you couldn't build one with a CB Stacker and a couple of Red Sky pizza stones. Put the bottom stone flat edge to the back so the fire / heat can wick up across the other one used as a roof. Put the top gap / flat edge twards the front so it can vent up to damper in the lid.

I have had excellent results using two fire bricks to elevate a pizza stone so that the top and bottom of the pizza bake at the same rate. Recently, I built a simple rack to raise the pizza stone up into the dome just the right amount for excellent results:

These methods require a minimum of equipment to do an absolutely excellent job.

Try it, you'll like it!

Keep on smokin',
