Pizza Night

I was supposed to do this cook last Monday, but one thing led to another and I didn't get to it until yesterday. Earlier in the day I'd seen Robert's pizza post and read that it was National Pizza Day. Perfect!

I found these New York Spicy sausages buried in the freezer and decided to cook them up for one of the pizzas. Ate the remaining two.

The next one was a Chorizo, Jalapeno and Sun Dried Tomato Pizza.

This is the pizza my wife found and wanted me to give it a try. Smoked Mozzarella and Lemon Pizza. Chunks of smoked mozzarella, thinly sliced lemons, just olive oil on the crust, basil leaves and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Love the pies, I'd even try the lemon one.

is that a little feta on the Chorizo, Jalapeno and Sun Dried Tomato Pizza?

Sun dried tomatoes (and roasted-pickled red pepper strips) add more flavor that I used to expect - love it.

There's a place called The Pie Pizzeria that serves up a bbq chicken cilantro (I remembered basil - not cilantro!) that left an impression....

Those pizzas are amazing Cliff. What's your thoughts on the lemon one? That's taking it to a whole new level

My wife really liked it Chuck. Me I’m not sure. I didn’t try that one. The slices were about as thin as you can get them with a knife and the KP was running around 600. Pies were in for about 5 minutes each so the lemons were pretty soft. Probably very nice flavor if that appeals to you on pizza.

Edit.... remember too, no pizza sauce on that one, just olive oil.

Pizzas look great Cliff, but not so sure about the lemon one, although it looks good and if the wife liked it winner winner.

You did a bang-up job on that cook. 3 pies all different are a lot of work. #1 & #2 are my favorites, but I'd have a slice of #3 just to find out.

You truly honored National Pizza Day! Beers!!!

Look great. I still can not master the art of getting the pizza off the paddle. Tried corn meal and spray oil. Just will not come off. Using a metal paddle. Started just using parchment paper.
