If anyone needs an excuse to drop by Pete in PG's place, here's all the proof you need. Absolutely glorious day in Pacific Grove, CA today...73*F in December.

OK, this is not the view from his place, but it's a view he can enjoy just a few minutes from his home, whenever he gets tired of using that pizza oven of his.

Sometimes I wonder why I gave up the best weather on the planet in So Cal for the cold and snow of Arizona. I guess it was the 5, 405, 15, 91, 210, 60, 22, 605 and 2 hour commutes to go 15 miles, ah yes now I remember

Matt.... I grew up in Mt. Prospect and remember watching the Rose Bowl Parade and football game (and other events, but that stuck with me) as a youngster. It was seemingly always sunny and warm... and in Pasadena, that's generally true!. 1967 was a big year for snow in the Chicago area. Had a lot of fun, but a good motivator for me to travel around the country and I ended up on the coast out here. Can't imagine why.....
