Perfect timing, new to me Q300!

My Q200 piezo igniter decided to give up the ghost yesterday. Whilst searching for a new part and a mooch on marketplace I saw this one for £50.
It was still available so I have just collected it. Looks in good condition with a new hose and working igniter.
The model number says it’s from 2006 and I will have a good look to see if I can find the manufactured date.

A google and it tells me this one is from 2008 so 2 years younger than my Q220. Hopefully I get a good few more years with this one.
All the others I have owned or rehabbed have had their lids painted so I have a feeling this one is going to get a makeover.

Since getting the Q300 home and next to my Q220 it’s much bigger for my needs. Only two in the household and it’s only used for burgers and chicken pieces.
I decided to sell it on and luckily someone was looking a bbq on Facebook, I sent some photos and they are collecting it tomorrow.
In the meantime, I contacted Weber and a new igniter is on the way for £20.

You will find the Q3xx (IMO) eminently more usable than the Q2xx again my opinion after living with both but YMMV

The new to me Q300 has gone to a new owner. I managed to sell it on for what I have paid so that was lucky.
Just waiting on the piezo for my 220 to have many more years of good service. I did use the 220 at the weekend with a lighter to start it up and the grill plate is just the right size for what I need. Happy to keep the 220 :)

I purchased my 2200 used around 2010 or so and still going strong. Those Qs are tough grills. You'll have that 300 for a long time. Congrats !
