I just have to do these every couple of months or so. Patty Melts on the grill. We just love them. Here's a few pic's of the cook.

Fixin's. Grated Swiss, sweet yellow onion sliced and ground chuck 80-20.



Onions sautéing in some oil in my Lodge baking dish. A dash of sugar too.



Done.



Burgers on.







Some nice Russian Rye, buttered both sides. I used unsalted butter, your call. Toast one side only.



Transfer to plate. Topped each patty with onions and grated Swiss, toasted side facing in.



Back on grill to toast other side of bread and melt the cheese.



Plated with Tots.



Well, that's it for this cook. Weekend and Super Bowl just around corner. Have a good one everybody and thanks for looking!

It's the "simple" cooks that stand out as being exceptional when BBQ-ing. Great cook Cliff
 
Serve that with a mug of tomato soup and Cindy would be in heaven!
I wonder if I could slider-ize 'em for the SB?
