One thing (of many) that I've learned here...

Jim Lampe

TVWBB 1-Star Olympian
A beautiful day in southeastern Wisconsin after a nice thunderstorm very early morning that brought another 3/8ths of an inch of rain....
to celebrate the near end of our summer drought, we're gonna GRILL OUT tonight! :)
got the
GREEN OTG with the CIGs fired up...

and Maddie is keeping a close eye on it for me.
once it got goin', onions were "fried" in tiny cast iron skillets.

Small halved Yukons were cooked in a slightly larger cast iron skillet.

And meat, in the form of Chuck Eye Steaks were EVOO'd, seasoned with cumin, Adobo and S+P
then slapped on the hot cast iron grates.

...with everything in
harmony...

...dinner was served!
With garden fresh green beans sautéed with more garden goodies, tomatoes and gaaaaaalic (minced).

Butter ribbons melted over the Yukons while a pat of the same on the chuck eye...

As you probably guessed, i ♥ chuck eye steaks... as much as i ♥ pork steaks.
and ya know, the funny thing is, I never realized that until I found this place and learned stuff!
You're all GREAT! And I thank you for everything I've learned here!
And i thank you for visiting this post! I truly do appreciate it every time!

Very nice evening for a cook! Looks mighty fine, I love the harmony as well as the finalé! What kinda pickled goodness is sitting there with Mattie? Wish some of that rain would spare us here in HELL, er I mean Arkansas!

Excellent cook again Jim! Have some chuck eyes marinating for tonight's dinner, just gotta figure out the sides.

I see Mattie has her nose going...there must be something real good on that grill! Thank God for rain and Weber Grills and THEE cow, pig, and chicken!

"You're all GREAT!" And you are a great one too!! Jim Many have been inspired by your cooks and enthusiasm on this site. Well not so much this site cause it hasn't been around that long but the old site ........ Well you know what I mean. Anyway great cook.

Jim, as always..... great looking cook and something else to try. You make it look easy and I know it isn't. Thanks!

You summed it up well Jim, this site has improved my outdoor cooking ten fold too.
You have the knack of keeping us, and our grills, fired up.
And you turn out some pretty mean looking chuck-eyes, and etc, etc, etc.
Loved the post!

One thing I have learned quickly on this forum is that Jim's cooks always make me hungry!! Great looking plate of grub!!
