Dang, I just read Mr. Lampe's post in another thread concerning the suitability of olive wood for smoking salmon.
I have a large quantity i have selvaged from a diseased tree that was removed years ago. I have never thot about it's smokewood availability.
Any thoughts or experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes Mike, as Kevin stated, Olive is terrific with lamb. I have not use it for duck, actually never made duck <<Thanks for the idea Kevin!>>, butt Olive is generally very good for all poultry.
I got the idea of using Olive for fish/seafood from this blog site... Jeannie is pretty good with her outdoor cookin' and pretty creative also.
Mike, are you up to a wood-trade? I have apple...

I will cut some up and give it a try.
Jim, I have 3 apple trees myself, as well as pear, plum, and cherry. Thanks for the offer.
