Oberle Dog, 'Gus and Butter-Cheese Pizza on Old Yeller

Oberle sasuage, affectionately called Oberle Dog around these parts, is some dang good eats.
I may not be the first one to use it on a pizza, but probably the first to add asparagus, and butterkase cheese.

Pulled out the old yellow 18.5 for today's lunch cook.
Flat bread for the base.
Asparagus and onions sauteed in butter, then a hit of heat on the tomatoes.

Warm day, in the 80's, so the drink of choice was sky juice.

Bob, I'm guessing your from around the Ste. Gen area. I know the Oberle's well. Great people and great meats!
 
I gots ta gets mees sums a dat dare butterkase, betcha goes good wit sums fried taters n mustard.....mmmmhhhmmm:)

Looks good, I'm a foodaholic. If some is good, more is better.:D

Looks good Bob, don't pull the pants on yet it's bound to get warm again sometime. That's an awfully clear Steelhead Fine Ale you got there.

Oberle sausage the closest thing to deer sausage you can buy.
At least that is what it taste like to me. That being said what a great cook and idea.
 
Super cook! I am ready to be retired! Is that sky vodka or sky soda(better be vodka Bob!) heck retired and no grass to cut! I'm all there!

Brian, I live closer to StL than Ste Gen, but Oberle dog is sold at several stores in my area.

Paul, never thought of it, but it is like a very good deer sausage.

edit to add, around here, sky juice equals water;)
