Hi all.
My wife and I will be hosting a booze filled party this weekend. I would like to try some ABT's for our guests. On my 18.5" i plan on filling both the top and lower grates. How much charcoal do you think I will need to put in the chimney starter? I've read that the temp should be between 225-250deg and take between 60 and 90 minutes. Please let me know what you guys think. As of right now the temp outside on Saturday should be in the low 30's. I appreciate the help.

Fill the charcoal ring. I would do half a chimney. I would cook at 275 or so.
When done you can close all vents and the fire will die. You can use the leftover charcoal for your next cook.

Sounds great. You really don't need much charcoal, but if you're going through the effort, then fill er up! :)
