I'll bet it won't be hot dogsWhat’s your first cook going to be?
Enjoy!
Definitely not hot dogs - lol. I've got a couple frozen turkeys from the holidays - might do one of those with the famous tvwbb apple brine or some pork butts - leaning towards the latter to really get a feel for the long cooks this is capable of.I'll bet it won't be hot dogs

Enjoy your new WSM!So stoked to pickup this 18" WSM off of Craigslist- $125. I've been a site member for 14 or so years, but always have used kettles. FINALLY got a 18" bullet and can't wait to fire it up.
I've cooked on it 5 times now and just wish I'd gotten one years ago - one day I'll probably say that about the summit/kamado - if I can ever find one cheap lol. I've done pork butts, 15lb turkey and ribs a few times. Using the instructions on this site - every cook has been a success. Still use the kettle for steaks, chicken, etc - but don't see trying to smoke in it too often - unless I'm short on real estate.Allen, how do you like your WSM now that you have had some time to get used to it?
