Nevertheless, it has been made clear that I do not fit in here.

I hope you don't really feel this way.
When I first joined the forum years ago I kind of sort of felt that way a little, but then after I remembered that some people try to type sarcasm, and some people might seem mad, they really aren't. I know for a fact that I have tried to be silly or funny on here and it was not read that way, and that is my fault. What I'm trying to say is, there is no other place to get the kind of advice freely distributed here, and I really don't think that there are any regular users who harbor bad feelings or even get angry.
I will take a gamble here (the gamble being falling into LMichaels' bad graces) and say that Larry can
seem short tempered. At least I have interpreted some things he says as short tempered. But then when I go look at all of his contributions and advice, sometimes the same advice over, over, over, over and over again, I can see why he wants to be very clear and very direct. Therefore, I have concluded that LMichaels is not short tempered or angry. At least I hope he's not angry with me. But like I said, it can be hard to tell, especially with Italian-Americans like Larry (and half of me).
I'd say go have a beer, grill up something delicious, and feel free to participate in the forum if you want. I can speak for myself when I say that everyone is welcome and fits in here, and it would take a lot more than reluctance to disclose your location to actually get somebody mad at you on an internet forum specifically about Weber gas grills.
The other thing you can do about the location conundrum is just claim to live in Centralia, PA. You don't even need a grill to barbecue there
