New from ThermoWorks: RFX wireless meat probe thermometer


 
Great company! My go-to company for this kind of stuff. I won't get into it, but let's just say they have treated me with an excellent level of customer service that is rare.
 
Looking forward to a review. I have a Meater Block. The app is sufficient for my needs and the WiFi connection is rock solid. I’ve monitored long cooks from me Apple Watch.

The one shortfall for me is the limited temperature range. Can’t do a sear with probe for fear of damaging the ceramic. If the TW RFX can withstand sear temps I would consider replacing the Meater Block

I’ve used one probe skewered into an onion to measure ambient/deck temp
 
I've got a temp spike and I'm mostly use it in my oven in the house..... It's great when you're cooking a standing rib roast, etc. also use it in my dehydrator to monitor the temperature when I'm fermenting yogurt.
