My Wife's Dinner

OK, this isn't a grilling post, but when my wife set my dinner down in front of me last night, I had to grab the camera and share a couple of pictures. The dinner was a nice cube steak, but the side really caught my eye. It was a Red Bell Pepper, stuffed with Tomatoes and Brussel Sprouts, served on a bed of Quinoa. She topped it all with a nice white sauce made from Greek Style Yogurt, Tahini Paste, garlic, lemon juice, Spanish Paprika and Sea Salt.

Then she served up dessert. This was completely over the top. It was an ice cream cake that she worked on most of the day. The bottom crust consists of chocolate wafers, crushed in the food processor. Mixed the crumbs with melted butter to make crust. Then a layer of vanilla ice cream. In freezer for an hour, then a layer of hot fudge sauce with another layer of cookie crumbs without the butter. Back in the freezer. Then a layer of chocolate ice cream. Back in freezer. Frosted with homemade whipped cream, and, you guessed it, back in freezer. Some nice chopped pecans to top things off. It was delectable.

Thanks for looking. My pictures don't do them justice.

Looks great Cliff. Kudos to your wife! I'm rediscovering brussel sprouts lately and this was a really interesting way to do them!

Yeah, Cliff, I think you married a keeper!:)

Your dinner looks delicious, whether it was grill or not.

How are you liking your new Nikon?

Thanks Ed. I love the Nikon. It's a little frustrating, the learning process that is. Kind of like playing golf, the more you play, the worse you get. At least that was a funk I fell into years ago. Chad, a TVWBB member, turned me on to a great tutorial that has really helped me and I found a great video tutorial on YouTube that has helped also. Like anything else worthwhile in life, just need practice, practice and then more.
