Had our annual wooden boat messabout that I hold at Paulina Lake Oregon. A fellow messabouter picked me up a harrow disc and plugged the whole and added handles to it for me. Now I have a discada! Going to have it blasted and then I'll season it up and start cooking on it! It's 23" across an weighs in at 32lbs.! he bottom is just over 1/2" thick! Should work great on my Stove-Tec rocket stove!

You're going to have fun with that Case! Great handles. Checked out your messabout on line, pic's were from a few years ago. Beautiful boats and venue. Looks like a great time by all.

ill be very curious how this seasons up and cooks. i love home made stuff like this. take lots of pictures when you fire it up !

Case, that thing is BAD ACE! I love the homemade factor and the history in the piece! I love it, and can't wait to see it in use!

Thanks everyone! This is going to be fun! The best way to season these is to cook on them. So I hope to show off a bunch of cooks soon!

I was going to take it to the Powder coat shop tomorrow to be sand blasted, then its seasoning time. Then last night I had this idea to add two more handles so I can hang it from my tripod over an open fire, like a dutch oven. So this weekend I plan on welding on two more horse shoes If i'd thought of this earlier I would have had my friend weld on 3. Oh well. two more it is!
