My new grill!

Had a 10-12 year old Genesis Gold B, and my neighbors trampoline took flight last week and took it out. I keep a steel cable running through it, my Smokey Mountain smoker, and my Performer charcoal grill for security, and it drug those guys down with her.

I was like John Belushi in this clip in Animal House when I saw it! Oh the horror!

Anyway, smoker and charcoal only suffered minor scratches, and they wrote me a fat check for the gasser, to which now I am the proud owner of a Genesis E-310. Everybody is cleaned up, lubed and tuned, and ready to rock for summer!

Here are the three amigos ready for action!

Chris, that first photo is horrific! I'm glad you got the situation taken care of though. The new gasser looks great!

Too bad about the Gold B, it might have lived forever if it had not been attacked by the trampoline. Glad all is well again.

Well at least no one was hurt and I'm sure your old gasser didn't suffer much. Nice new addition that's for sure.

Sorry about the Gold B but that new one is super nice. Glad the others are ok and that no one was hurt.

Oh I would have loved to fix the Gold B...I LOVED that grill. I knew here inside and out...hot spots, cold spots, temperament...I miss her already. It was to be my last grill...over the years, I have replaced the burners, flavor bars, grates, igniter, and regulator. I also have the rotisserie for it...hopefully I can adapt it to work on the 310.

But realistically, it caved in the lid, broke the bottom case when the manifold was ripped out, broke the frame, top panel, toasted all 3 valves, and the bottom case was literally ripped off from the frame. Bent a wheel real bad too.

I *COULD* have repaired it, but didnt want to spend $400-$600 to not even end up with an original Gold B.

Anywho, looking forward to getting to know the new girl. Thanks everybody for the nice words.

A few years ago, a coworkers three WEEK old car was trashed when his neighbors trampoline also flew and landed on is new car...
i thought those trampolines were staked to the ground.
