My first pork loin

This was inspired by Mike Cosgrove. I saw his thread and was itching to try it out. I soaked the loin over night in some Kicked up Mojo Criollo. So it was a cold windy rainy day Saturday for my fisrt attempt at a pork loin. Went out side at noon yesterday fired up the wsm went out an hour later and it was chugging along at a steady 325.

Went in the house dusted the loin with a little home made rub and on she went. :wsm:

Here's a pic of the wind I had to deal with.

The finished product.

This is definitely a going into my rotation. It came out and moist and very flavorful.

Thanks for all the kind words.

The next time I make these I think they need to be sweetened a bit. Be it by adding some apple cider to the marinade or by adding some brown sugar to the rub. I was a bit hesitant about adding sugar because I didn't want it to burn. Seeing that it was only on for an hour I believe it wont be a problem on my next run.

I'm flattered Bobby, yes the Mojo really goes nice on pork loin, and yours looks wonderful, and so does your backyard.

Thank you very much Mike. I'm glad I saw your thread because I never wood have thought about throwing a pork loin on the wsm. This will definitely be going in the rotation. Remember imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. :o
