My cold smoker conversion

Here’s my cold smoker conversion. It’s very similar to Shao Lin’s except I had a Coleman party charcoal grill available instead of a Smokey Joe... Also, I didn’t like the way the cardboard fit in the door so I used a WSM 18.5 door from Weber.

I am doing my first cold smoke now. Some cheeses and for the heck of it I threw on some sliced apples as well.

You know, I have had that very idea rolling around in my head for years! Granted, mine was using a roti ring and a kettle but the concept is the same!

This finally gave me a use for the little Coleman. I had won it in a raffle at work and it just sat unused. IMO it is too small to grill on. Not to mention kind of flimsy.

I can’t take credit for the overall design. I saw a similar setup in this forum from Shao Lin.
