Look's good. I am pretty comfortable smoking on my WSM and kettle but I have never got up the nerve to do an over night cook or leave for them for a long time.
Great looking pork. Same thing happened to me on my Xmas big cook. I went to work for half a day and was gone almost 8 hrs door to door. I solved it the same way you did. I think we got lucky and times it with the natural stall time of the meat. Great save man!
