More from the Sausage Tree & 1st time ABTs

I've been wanting to try ABTs and Cindy wanted beef for her BD and I also remembered a shrimp stuffed mushroom post or two from before. So here I go.

ABTs cued up. I didn't have a meat for the stuffing, so they're almost vegetarian :). Also, having never made them, half the peppers were the littl' sweets ya get in the box

mushrooms w/shrimp, parsley, garlic and Sraricha, and the steak pinwheels in the back

Again, 'cause good things bear repeating: pinwheels from the Sausage Tree

OK, everybody on

Sorry, no action shots of the 'shrooms, but here they are on my plate

Thanks again for lookin' and all your inspiration.

I have seen and done the S American Sausage Pin wheel but I have never seen or heard of a Pin wheel Steak

Can I have more details please, cut of beef and how it is done, also is that a "Common name" or its correct Recipe name.

The butcher's name for it is "Pinwheel", I'm pretty sure its the common name. It's a flank steak, seasoned, than rolled up w/ bacon, tied and sliced. I didn't do anything but buy 'em.

I have done a similar thing with lamb (what we call lamb flaps) lay it flat fill it will seasoning's etc then roll it up and tie it using a cooking twine, and roasting it.

This the basics of making a Pin wheel using a Loin cut of Beef.

Its an open book with what you add in the roll.

This was very similar to yours except they were sliced before cooking. And I was lazy and let the butcher do the work:D
