More Chicken on my Weber Performer Deluxe


 
Looks really good.
I failed the last time I q’ed chicken.
Something about my attention span I think.
Thanx to all that replied and this is generally my set-up when cooking my favorite Chicken Legs:

Weber Performer Deluxe fitted with a SlowNSear Plus and SNS DripNGriddle Pan;
Fill and light the Regular Weber Chimney 3/4's full of charcoal Briquettes;
Dump lighted charcoal into the SlowNSear without water over three large Weber Smoke wood Pieces and add a few unlit lump charcoal on top;
Grill the chicken pieces over the Direct Fire for a few minutes and move them over to the Indirect Side;
Bottom Vents are Adjusted to 1/2 open and leave the top vent fully open;
Top the Lid and do not peak for the next forty-five(45) minutes or so and I was able to maintain a consistent temperature of 400F and drink two(2) large Gin Martinis with three(3) olives in a relaxed position;
After this time lapse I then insert my Instant Read Thermometer into the chicken pieces and looking for a temperature reading of at least 170F in which I sometimes baste with BBQ Sauce for another five(5) minutes.

Hope the above helps as my Attention Span was minimal on this particular grilling session.
