I tried my hand at making some mooinks last month for my brother's b-day. They were ok. It was very windy that day and I was pressed for time (made bbs and ABTs too) and I think that affected how these turned out. I used a 50/50 combo of ground chuck and pork to make the meat balls. I stuffed each one with a piece of cheddar cheese (I will not do this again). After I wrapped each in bacon I added a mix of brown sugar and bbq rub to the tops. Once they were done I squeezed some sauce on each one to help with the flavor. They just didn't seem very flavorful.
Next time I will only use beef for the meat balls.

They look really good. I'm having a hard time believing that they didn't have much taste. Did you spice the meat any before you rolled it into meat balls? Maybe that would help.

Just go ahead and send me the left overs.
