I tried my hand at making some mooinks last month for my brother's b-day. They were ok. It was very windy that day and I was pressed for time (made bbs and ABTs too) and I think that affected how these turned out. I used a 50/50 combo of ground chuck and pork to make the meat balls. I stuffed each one with a piece of cheddar cheese (I will not do this again). After I wrapped each in bacon I added a mix of brown sugar and bbq rub to the tops. Once they were done I squeezed some sauce on each one to help with the flavor. They just didn't seem very flavorful.
Next time I will only use beef for the meat balls.
