Mongolian Grill...... on the grill.

I'm sure most of you have been to a Chinese restaurant that offers a Mongolian Grill. You pick your own stir fry ingredients from a huge salad bar, add some mysterious sauces, and a guy that doesn't speak any English cooks your meal on a huge round flattop that's ridiculously hot. Then he makes a big show of sliding everything on to your plate with long drumsticks and away you go. This is my take on that using the griddle on my gasser.

Big bowl of veggies: cabbage, red onion, jalapenos, red pepper, broccoli, garlic and ginger. Also some thinly sliced BSCB.

Erin mixed up a sauce of Soy, Sambal Oelek, rice wine vinegar, agave nectar, and some other ingredients that I missed.

Chicken hitting the griddle (gave it a head start because it was still frozen when I sliced it).

Then the veggies.

Got a late start cooking.

Steaming away. Check that lightning fast spatula action.

Adding the sauce.

Almost done.

Off the grill.

And bowled. Served over brown basmati rice.

Maybe not J. Beisinger grade Asian cooking, but this was a really fun and tasty meal. Thanks for looking!

I was at a MOngolian place just outside of Nuernberg. They besides fish, pork, and beef, they had lamb and kangaroo. I have to say, grilled kangaroo tastes a lot better than it sounds.
