Meat Thermometers

I have a couple ThermoPro thermometers - a TP19H and a TP620. The latter is supposed to be their flagship version, and while I love the bright display, I think the TP19H “feels” better in my hand.

Neither of these has the even more solid “feel” of the Thermapen ONE I also have. But, you can buy 4 or more TP19H thermometers for the price of one Thermapen ONE. Whether that “feel” difference is worth it probably varies from person to person. I think they both do all that is needed for the average grill and barbecue person.

When I bought my third Akorn kamado, I bought this wireless thermometer from Amazon:
Wireless Digital Meat Thermometer with 4 Probes & Meat Injector, Upgraded 500FT Remote Range Cooking Food Thermometer for Grilling & BBQ & Oven & Kitchen https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084L86VTX/?tag=tvwb-20

It has worked perfectly do far. I've also purchased two of these;
Alpha Grillers Instant Read Meat Thermometer for Grill and Cooking. Best Waterproof Ultra Fast Thermometer with Backlight & Calibration. Digital Food Probe for Kitchen, Outdoor Grilling and BBQ! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S93EQUK/?tag=tvwb-20

And while not as fast as my 7 year old Thermapen, they are fast enough and very accurate.

Thise ThermoPro though has been rock solid for 4 years: ThermoPro TP03 Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer Kitchen Cooking Food Candy Thermometer with Backlight and Magnet for Oil Deep Fry BBQ Grill Smoker Thermometer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IHHLB3W/?tag=tvwb-20

A Lee: What is the price difference between the two. While the ThermoPro products may not be Top line, they are very close and usually the price makes them very attractive for a large portion of the customer base.
The Javelin Pro Duo was around $40 while the Thermo Pro TP19H was $21. Both were purchased on sale.
