Meals for Others by Melinda

My wife got news last week that old family friends of hers lost their 24 year old son suddenly. She has a huge heart, and immediately wanted to prepare some meals for the family to make their next few weeks a little "easier". Not a whole lot of grilling in this post, but thought I'd share anyways. We all know the power of a homemade meal and a hug. Sometimes it's all you can give.

Did 3 whole chickens on the grill to be made into Chicken Divan and White Chicken Chili. Both are favorites of ours when it gets cold, and easy to reheat later.

Shredded and diced all useable meat.

Split 1/2 of it off for the Chicken Divan. Added diced broccoli, and 5 cans of Cream of Mushroom soup. This all goes into a casserole dish, covered in italian bread crumbs and shredded cheese. Easy to bake and serve.

Used the other half in the crock pot for White Chicken Chili. Used McCormicks White Chicken Chili packs, cans of corn, and cantelini beans. We add diced jalapenos to ours later, but not in the actual chili this time.

Here's the kitchen in action. 2 crockpots and two pots on the stove. We also had a beef chili going and my wifes sauce.
