Maple planked Alaska Salmon

I haven't done this awhile using a wood plank to grill fish, but decided to use a Maple wood plank for this fine cut of Salmon from Alaska! I soaked the wood for 4 hrs, I then took the skin off of the Salmon. Grilled it over coals for about 25 minutes, then I sauced it with my All time Favorite Yakitori sauce that I buy from Whole Foods in the Los Angeles area. This is my "Go- to" sauce when I cook fish or shrimp. Great stuff!!!! The salmon turned out great!!!! Here are the photos.

Salmon is done, time to add the tasty sauce.

Time to eat!!!

That's a beautiful salmon and over charcoal. You don't see that very often Michael, you killed it

Nice!!! Love that salmon.

I've never seen maple grilling planks. Do you think any hardwood would be suitable for a grilling plank?
