Looks like a NEW Spirit has been released

I saw this on FB today. Looks like a more conventional grill than the Spirit II and with some nice features for $499:

Anyone else know more about this release?

Yah, it looks to be the same dimensions as my two burner LX. But, hard to tell from the photo for sure.

But…”boost power 40% in the “Sear Zone””? 🤔🤨

Must have an extra setting in the valve cones for those two burners.

Regarding the size reduction (and price), I see this as a way to increase Genesis sales.

They might not even put out a new 2 burner Spirit.

I thin you are right. I really don't see how they can get a much smaller foot print.

They must have borrowed the valve design from the LX Genesis grills. They have that extra setting that you see on that grill on the two right burners. But, yah, that grill just doesnt look big enough for three burners.

I like how Bruce immediately finds the Confidential Watermark PDF file 😂

So basically…

1) 2 Burner model gets Sear Burner Option
2) 3 Burner Model extinct - Replaced by 4 Burner (Sear) model but within the 3 Burner Spirit (Genesis 1000, Silver B) size

My guess is these are still the same size as the earlier Spirit (not Spirit II) 2 and 3 burner models.

So, it does look as though the two burner and three burner are the same grill body. They just shoe horned in an extra burner for the three burner version. I wonder if they down graded the btu's on the three burner burners or not.

Interesting that some of these have the Snap Jet ignition that I assume was ported from the Genesis II LX models (electronic) and not the style from the 3rd Gen Summits (analogue).

I would be interested to see how those valves work. Since as I see it, to get to the sear portion you must go past low?

Am I seeing that right?

Doesn't look like it to me. Looks like it steps down in order of heat output from highest to lowest. FWIW also I think you mean "sear". A "seer" is a biblical term. And while these may be "Spirits" I doubt they're "biblical" :D
