A few months back some of us Forum Members purchased this thermometer off Amazon for a discounted price of around forty(40) dollars. I have yet to unwrap-it and wondering if you purchasers remain one-happy ThermPro customers?

I have a Lightning from Thermopro and a Thermoworks Thermapen One. Both are great thermometers. They are very similar performance wise. The rest is a matter of taste really. BUt the Lightning wins the "Value" category, hands down.

I've been using my Lightning exclusively for the past few months and I like it very well. At first, I compared its measurements with the Thermapen (not a 1 second version) but I stopped doing that.

I got three of these and I love them. Mostly because you can stick them in your cook and let them go while it reads the temp of the cook
