Lifespace Go-Anywhere Portable Grill Rotisserie Riser Extension Kit $59

I just looked up the R+G one. I agree that it could use a second lower level. Also it has no way of closing the rotisserie holes. In the end it will be twice as much with some of the same issues.

Edit: Also no rotisserie included.
Ya, no lower second level because R&G sells 2 sizes of the riser whereas Que-tensils sells one size with the 2 levels. Also, I like how the riser from Que comes with blanking plates to cover the roti holes when needed. And yah, no included rotisserie for both. Oh well, hopefully a legit one will be available for the states soon.

Just about finished up with the riser. I just realized I will need 4 more bolts to hold the split grate on top as I was testing with a full grate from the gas version. I used high temp gasket silicone to stick the cover over the name, I cut the metal to put over the rotisserie holes, got a 10x16 $5 grate from Amazon to be a diffuser shelf below, and had to cut the lip off the ends to get the cover on after stretching it out to hold the top grill grate. Fun project that saved a lot of $$ off a different one.

Today I did the first cook, a 4lb corned beef. I had a little trouble with keeping the temp below 300° and need a little more practice. I used the stainless slotted tray with some aluminum foil as a diffuser and may try a small water pan next time for the fun of it. I wrapped at about 170° and took off at 4 hours. Turned out fantastic and juicy. I can not believe how little fuel I used. It was hard to judge as I used a combination of briquets, left over briquets, and some lump I had. I added a few more at the 3 hour mark when wrapping. The nice thing about this setup is since the meat and diffuser / drip tray are on the riser I can lift the whole thing off and add fuel with ease.
Here are the pics.20240805_095212.jpg20240805_100109.jpg20240805_100130.jpg20240805_131530.jpg20240805_165153.jpg20240805_165353.jpg

Done with the final mod for now. I added 2 L brackets to hold my split grate up. Now I don't have to use the full uncut grate off the gas one I have. Maybe I will try the rotisserie next.
