It ended up being just Jo Anne and I here on Labor Day weekend.
So join us please.
Here's a Bloody Caesar to get you going.
Saturday it was pork steaks.
I didn't plan to post this, so no plated shots.
Sunday I started two 5/lb. butts, with apple wood for smoke.
Ran the 18.5 WSM at 280+/- at the grate for the entire 8 hour cook.
No foiling, but did mop a couple of times with apple juice & cider vinegar.
It turned out super!
Moist enough that no finishing sauce was needed.
Sweet/sour slaw on top, with potato salad, and ABT's stuffed with local goat Gouda cheese.
Not a big plate of food, but this always happens when I pull pork, take a bite, pull, bite.........
Followed up with a butterscotch sundae.
(note, if you shop Costco, and haven't tried their ice cream, then you don't know what you're missing)
Today my daughter and grandson stopped by and had lunch with me.
Blake gave the pulled pork his stamp of approval.
Hope everyone had a thumbs up holiday too!!
