Last nights spare ribs

Don't know if this is technically bbq or grilling. Last night I set up my performer for indirect heat with a chimney full of natural lump and apple wood chunks. The ribs were seasoned with Webers Kicken Chicken & Roasted Garlic & Herbs. It ended up being a knock out combo. Here's where we're splitting hairs I was doing a hot and fast cook with the spare ribs, but it wasn't directly over the heat source. I had the grill running at about 350-375 degrees for about one hour and forty five minutes. All I can say is that I hit this one out of the ballpark.

Where can I get a Performer grate like that??

Google "Craycort". They are kind of expensive but I wont have to be buying new grates every year. so I guess they pay themselves off after a couple of years. I love the grill marks it leaves on my food. Maintenance is easy just brush off stuck on food when you're done and oil down the grates done.

Awesome looking ribs Bobby. I have never cooked HH but yours make me want to try them. I prefer my ribs with dry rub.

Other than the grill marks, what makes these grates so much better and is it worth the high price?

I used to buy new grates for my Performer every year. It's been five years now and they're still going strong. So at $17.50 a year for five years I would have spent $87.50. In my honest opinion I believe the grate will out live the grill.
