I've not heard of "patty pans" before, after some research I am SO wanting to try them. Never noticed them in local grocery stores, they may be there and I just never 'see' them. So is the outer skin of these "hard" or more like zucchini/yellow squash?
Sheila these are thin skinned...zucchini would be close!! I was concerned the first time I cooked them but no worries...I just split them and sautéed them in butter and garlic!! Very tasty!
