Kansas City a barbecue ‘Rub Hub’

The person that once said... 'Variety is the spice of life', must have been from KC ;)

The recent growth in BBQ closely parallels the same growth in the vast rub varieties.
Even here, in SoCal, we are seeing a similar increase in both. And it's all good.
I love the West Coast Offense from the notable BBQ hot spots of Ventura and Coachella ;)

Found it interesting Laval used Original Juan's facilities for his rub development. They're an excellent resource of all things spicy and hot.
Some very hot !!! ( personally enjoy their DaBomb series, in small quantities... )
 
I'm going to KC in 3 weeks and while I was planning on picking up a couple of bottles of sauce it seems that perhaps I should make room in my luggage for some rubs as well!
