Been awhile since I posted...

Got a pack of beef tenderloin last week from Sam's Club.

Made it this past week for me and my wife, along with some roasted brussels.

She likes hers medium well. I wanted mine to be medium. Very basic salt and pepper seasoning.

Did them indirect until mine hit 130 and hers hit 140. Then direct on CI for 1-2 minutes on each side. Mine ended up around 143 and hers around 155.

Very nice, I like em like the one on the left myself. I would call that medium to medium rare in my book. Anyway, nicely done bud
 
Woof ! Nice steak ! Perfectly cooked , too. I like mine on the mid rare side too , but both of those look excellent .

Love the grill marks on the steaks! You mentioned CI, but do you have a CI grate? I normally don't like sprouts, but I'd eat those in a heartbeat. Makes sense to quarter them.
 
Michael, great post! Brussel sprouts look deliciously brown, and both steaks look killer. My wife is huge fan of filets, and would take your med rare one any day!
