Browsing through the web and I stumbled across "John Wayne" charcoal. Anybody seen and/or use this stuff? Seem a bit pricey to me.

I was wondering how they used his name.

Maybe that's why the high price?

Me, I'll stick with Kingsford original at sales price (two twenty pound bags from $7.88 a pair to $12.88 a pair depending on the sale). When that happens I'll buy several hundred pounds at a time. Yeah, my garage looks like the charcoal area in Home Depot but "I got charcoal!"

Keep on smokin',

I saw it in SoCal and it sounded really good. I remember it came in a few different flavors and one was something like an oak and hickory mix. They also sold some smoking chips. I would love to give it a try, but it was really pricey.

Somehow I just cant see "The Duke" doing a charcoal commercial, even if it was for his son.

Maybe for "Cowboy" charcoal? Lol
I do remember some early cigarette commercials he did, but back in the day everyone in the movies enjoyed a Lucky Strike or other.
