Jerky Seasoning - a short evaluation on one

Up to recently I'd always purchase my jerky seasoning, Hi Mountain Inferno Blend, from a certain vendor who will remain anonymous. Not being hot enough for me, I always added some cayenne to the blend. My last purchase for the Inferno blend was from the manufacturer itself, Hi Mountain Seasonings. What an epiphany. Their stuff is way way way hotter than anything I could have ever imagined and so it would appear that theirs is fresh whereas the stuff purchased from the other vendor was old and therefore faded. Nothing, no cayenne, zilch, need be added to Hi Mountain's Inferno Blend if purchased directly from them. Watch out, it's really HOT.

A natural assumption to make is that a vendors product is fresh (but if there's no 'freshness date' on it, who's to know).
It's probably a very slow mover and the vendors not going to re-order when it's gone.

Lesson learned.
