Is this Alfresco 30" Grill worth it for a flip?

Was it a long distance from you? IDK, I'd have showed up and if I didn't like it simply taken a hike. Although I always get suspicious of any seller who puts a whole bunch of stock photos of replacement parts up rather than photos of their own product they're selling :D

If it was closer I would have done the same but probably at least an hour each way

Any thoughts on this DCS? It's probably not a huge money maker but in your opinion is it a good Grill? Well built? Honest opinion?

I like the idea of one that's a little bit smaller like this. Seller is nice and set these extra pictures to me.

They're pretty solid grills. IIRC they did not come with SS grates. Those are heavy gauge porcelain enamel steel wire types. And this one is just after their first series. Since it has a rotisserie burner, rather than the ingenious tilting fire bed design. Where the lava rocks or ceramics were held in top and bottom and a lever would tilt the whole burner and lava rock bed up in the back to give a rear heat to the food. I only saw one once in my life. They really are a unicorn. DCS now is part of Fisher and Paykel but back in the day They were their own company

DCS is a super premium grill like Lynx.

That one looks rough. Most of them have iron gas pipe manifolds which can rot.

That said, I would get it for $20 and tear it apart to see how it works. Good test grill

Thanks guys I appreciate the info! I don't have any experience with these types of grills but
I like to expand my knowledge and learn new things and try different things all the time.

A gas grill is a gas grill. There really is almost no difference in how they work, only what they are made of and a few buttons and whistles they have. I have been studying up on charcoal and wood grills and smokers and it is really way more interesting and fun in how many more designs there are.

Eventually I want to dabble it that direction. For sure when I retire but for now I'm team gasser. I can see the appeal of having a smoker also. I plan on building an outdoor kitchen areas then I can have multiple grilling options. Not permanently built in so I can change them out. I know what to expect with Genesis x000 and I have several of them and plenty of extra parts. They cook very well for me and I can build restored grills out of them that will easily out live me and do it with style. So I need something special to branch out. That said I also like to continue to try new things and live and learn how other things work. I like to keep an open mind. Always more to learn or master in every.
