Interesting new gadget to my coffee arsenal

So, I was perusing Amazon and discovered a new product for storing coffee in. Ever the "issue" if you're buying in larger quantities (think Costco, Sam's, etc) Anyway keeping things fresh is an ongoing battle. I looked into and actually bought an air displacement type canister. Works fairly well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTYLS1X3?tag=tvwb-20

Then I was reading about "evacuation" type units. So, of course the big names (expensive like Fellow) make these one is manually pumped the other with a small powered vacuum pump. But lots of $$$
So, I discovered this and I bought one, it works quite well and I got a second one. They claim it holds a pound but it does not. But it does work well otherwise and it's made of heavy glass so no flavors migrating into the coffee stored inside.
Anyway these look to be quite a good value and been working great so far https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FN4CW11V?tag=tvwb-20

I really have enjoyed your coffee posts but I must admit that I think I am missing something. I still use a controlled temperature water source (205F) and make my brew in a Boudin French press which results in a darn good cup.
Not too sure what all the added “tools” bring to the party.

Well this one simply dealt with storage. Nothing more. And I thought they were interesting gadgets to help with the challenge of keeping things fresh. I have a very nice French Press I purchased. Quite honestly it's FAR better than it has a right to be based on how cheap it was. Link here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RJJ2SGG?tag=tvwb-20 and I also got this really cool temp controlled kettle again WAY better than it has a right to be based on cost https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FB3MNF35?tag=tvwb-20
And while we do more or less enjoy French Press I personally don't enjoy making it and cleaning up after it. We bought the 2 things for travel and quickly I think I've learned it's more trouble to travel with them than they're worth over my cheapo little Cuisinart 5 cup drip machine. Which brews a better cup than it has a right to for a $40 item.
But now that I've learned how to fine tune what we have and use every day (The Fellow Aiden and the Baratza Forte grinders and the Fellow Ode 2 which I like to use when I am experimenting with different beans and I don't want a whole "batch" in the Forte). But we LOVE what the current equipment is producing. Clean, very aromatic and flavorful. Today I dropped some Kirkland single origin organic Sumatra med/dark into the Ode 2 so I could "experiment" without committing to a larger "batch" in the Forte. And my second Forte is kept pretty much setup for Espresso grinding. It's one of the little "fun" things I like in the AM. And we enjoy the results

Larry, I still enjoy the little Shardor burr grinder you recommended. Does the job for me.
I gave mine to daughter as she starts her "journey" in grinding and sampling new and different coffee. I.E. I have her the Two Brothers Montage medium roast because I'd given her some I brewed here and she loved it so then she wanted to try it on the little brewer I gave her with the Shardor. She loves it. And actually that little Cuisinart brewer I gave her does a better job brewing than ANY $40 brewer has a right to do. And the two little devices fit her kitchen perfectly for her needs. Tell ya for a cheap a$$ little grinder and a cheap little brewer they do a remarkable job. She loves it and she's opening her palate to new tastes and experiences

Cuisinart does make some good brewers. We picked up one at Goodwill of all places, a new style never used grinder/maker. Haven't used the grinder part yet, but the new style filler accepts water far easier and now basket filters which seem to work better than their old style cones. Lots of stuff here gets donated new so lot of good choices, and for $8 can't lose! The grinder seems like a much better design than their first foray into grind n brew which failed.

Yes, and what I do now with coffee that won't fit into the vacuum containers is I seal it up in it's original bag (so I know what is in there) and place that in a vacuum bag, then seal the whole shebang into my chamber vac. Comes out like a "coffee brick" :D

I use a super high-tech apparatus to keep my coffee (mostly) oxygen free and fresh. TWO binder clips!!!

I've migrated away from the glass Bodum FPs to the cheapo metal insulated ones sold on Amazon. This one has a 59 ounce capacity. So now my kettle, FP and thermos all have the exact same 1.75L capacity. Perfect for making one big pot of coffee each morning.

I found a REALLY nice 1.5 liter French Press on Amazon and a 1.5 liter temp controlled kettle. And they work outstanding!

I have that 1.5L Secura FP -- surprisingly nice for the price. I like the insulation and also the extra durability over the glass.

I later got the very similar but larger 1.75L Sterling one on a good sale.
