...perhaps this will help persuade you. Lifted the top rack to get at my second slab of ribs to wrap. Top grate slipped and I instinctively tried to block with my my arm. 300 F across my bicep. Easily preventable.

You can do a number* on your forearm by trying to adjust the one-touch vent handle from the opposite side of the grill, too. No pictures, but it definitely happened.

*That number is 2, as in 2nd degree burn.
