I will just leave this here

I'm not even sure what it is, but someone should rescue it

I've been doing some digging and researching and can't find another one like it. The legs and shelf are exactly like my Charmglow Party Host HEJ-1T and Charmglow used those wheels of another model from the same era but I can find no record of this one under Charmglow or MHP.
"The world’s first outdoor gas grill was invented by Walter Koziol and marketed under the trade name of Perfect Host.

The Perfect Host was:
A 22-1/2″ round portable cart unit
Available in Natural or LP gas
Constructed of steel
The Perfect Host changed the way the world cooks-out and laid the foundation for the gas grill industry.

1961
Charmglow had become a household name
Charmglow had quickly become a household name, so MHP changed the company name to Charmglow Products

1962
The first rectangular designed gas grill was introduced
Walter re-engineered the “round steel grill” and introduced the first rectangular painted steel gas grill with a hinged lid, a better and more efficient grill concept.

1964
Rustproof Cast Aluminum Grill
Cast Aluminum design
Further improving on design, the first rustproof cast aluminum rectangular gas grill with a patented hinged lid was introduced. To this day, this remains the industry’s most popular design."

This info is from MHP history on there web page.

My only guess is that about 1964 or later when Charmglow introduced the cast Aluminum rectangle gas grill that they also tried to reintroduce a round kettle like option and when the rectangle option became a more popular design they discontinued the round option. If this is true I wonder how many of these round gas units were made.

WOW, what a weekend! Wrapped up the weekend at the Weber South Morang store, it was great they let me participate and join in on the third birthday celebrations.

I'm stoked about the real interest from customers in the vintage Weber grills I had on display, plus the restoration and detailing works.

Over the weekend, I detailed a black '96 Go Anywhere and a red '97 Mastertouch kettle, which is one of my fave Weber kettle designs!

To anyone who recently followed my socials hope you dig the content, 'cause there's more cool restorations coming soon!

Thanks Mark for sharing this amazing journey with us. It's incredible what you have built and accomplished over there in Australia. You definitely have much to be proud of and I'm excited to follow your continued journey and see what's next for you.
Hey Mate, no worries at all. Had a great weekend, I tried to capture the pics the best I could.

This is something I've been doing and researching for over 10 years now so definitely passionate about it

That sounds like a great time of a weekend. I wish we had Weber stores here in the US. I was blessed with the opportunity to visit one in Germany six years ago.

I thought the kettle display with both the US stars and stripes and the all blue one with the Southern Cross made a stunning pair. Can you purchase the Southern Cross one in Australia?

Of course, your classic restored Webers had to be the highlight. Your workmanship is totally top drawer!:george: I am sure those who dropped by enjoyed the opportunity to see Weber history come to life.

Hey Mate, thanks for that, yep had an awesome weekend!

Yeah the 2 international kettles at the front of the store are a great exhibit, eye catching as soon as you walk in. No unfortunately, the Aussie version was just made for the Australian stores.

The Older Weber's definitely brought a lot of interest and questions which was great. People were very engaging.

The main 2 draw cards were the Genesis 5000 and the Junior. Some of the reps actually used the 5000 as a reference to selling new ones as they would point out the quality of a Weber which still exists in the new models

So Mark, I'm wrapping my head around this. You restore all these grills and then you made a store to resell them? Or am I missing something. Way cool. I'd actually thought about doing something like that with all the KitchenAid mixers I've rebuilt over the years

Larry, I believe what Mark did was bring some of his restored grills to display at a Weber owned company store. It looks very similar to the one I went to in Germany. I think they were having a special event since it is spring there.

Hi Larry, here in Australia Weber have dedicated physical stores, around 53 nationally.

The store in a suburb called South Morang was celebrating the 3rd birthday of the store from being opened. They knew that I restore BBQs as I tag them on Instagram with my projects. They reached out and asked if I would be interested in having some of my restored and older Weber's on display for the birthday weekend and be there to engage with customers. It was a great weekend, had so much fun, detailed a GA and a Master touch that I had at home that needed to be done.

As passionate as I am about the Weber brand it was extremely hard to so no 😁

If you have Instagram you can jump on to @Ignite bbq restorations and see some of my work

Pretty much spot on Jon, it's one of 53 stores nationally here in OZ. The store was celebrating its 3rd Birthday and they thought it would be cool to have some restored and vintage Weber's on display for the weekends festivities
