I will just leave this here

I am assuming the grill was rehabbed so if he got off with the lid, rack and tank for $20, he got a steal and if it was me, I would have either required payment in full or at least half before he left with the parts.

Yah, he was just looking for parts for his own grill and didn't want to have to deal with getting rid of the rest of it. I am guessing you could sell parts off it and make another $20 pretty easy if there are some good parts left. Grease pan, control panel, etc....

You could get $40-50 just for the manifold on eBay if it looks decent.

Grease tray looks iffy. Maybe it is just burned on carbon. But yah, the manifold would be worth a shot on ebay and that control panel looks pretty darn nice for an 8006. Maybe clean that up and ask for $15 or $20. Or offer them up in the for sale section here.

Well, if we are into stocking spare parts for future projects, then just push it into the back yard until you need something off of it. OH, and the tank scale might be a keeper as well.

Once you get a coupl out there in the coral in the back, they mysteriously multiply and by spring you might find 4 or 5 of them out there.

You know I should expected as much, because when he didn't take it all I offered to deliver it since he was in town and he said no he would come back with a truck.

My understanding is they're the same burners as a regular Genesis (but I don't recall if the 1xxx or the B/C type) but the fire boxes are the same dimension width wise

I'm looking for Factory Weber burners to modify for a junior. The only thing I can think of that would make the distance from the manifold to where the gas slits need to start would be a different size control panel. If the knobs are configured a different distance on a different control panel it could be a different distance from the manifold to the first gas slit. So I would feel more comfortable getting a measurement before purchasing. Just trying to cover my bases.

There's a guy with five sets of Factory Weber 7507 burners for sale and I'm thinking about making him an offer.

Probably should be a Snap-On grill. All in all, aside from the custom paint job, it looks like a good rehab candidate.
