I will just leave this here

The results showing up in my normal search went from about a dozen yesterday to 5 this morning. Even items I have listed are gone from my local results and are showing in the extended search. It just seems like their normally wonky search results got a lot more wonky all of a sudden. I am getting a lot of local stuff showing in the extended results and stuff clearly outside my radius, showing in local results.

I have a picked up a few with them and have broken welds. I have a nice set of what I believe are Weber brand soaking on day 8 or 9 right now. I’ll be interested to see how those clean up
Just be very careful going over them with a impact or drill or grinder. If the wire wheel catches it'll break the welds loose for sure. That happened to me on the first stamped set I cleaned up. I was quite a bit more careful after that

So do I go full out on this (new grates) or just try for a quick flip? Very little invested right now…

I honestly can't say what's best for you but I also picked my Performer up for free. My thinking is since I got it for free I can afford to put some really nice stuff on it without much overall invested and then I can put it up for a large number and make a decent profit.

I would finish it up with grates and build the cost into the price of the grill. I have done a few performers and always had a hard time flipping them for a decent profit.

You will definitely get more than your money back for the money you spend on the grates.

I wouldn't feel confident putting mine up for sale for 50% less without the grates

Mine is almost finished. Getting it for free allowed me to put quality parts in it to pull a healthy profit. Just waiting on my custom handles and badges and then it goes up for sale. Not only am I going to get a larger profit but it's also going to help my reputation for putting out high quality work which is bringing in more sales now and buyer's requesting to put a deposit down on my next projects.
